All Aboard for Podunk

We've been wanting to write up pictures of sheet music in to Lilypond format for a while.

It seemed fitting to start with a song about Podunk, when we're a band based in Indiana.

There was a station agent on the New York Central line.
At Mack'rel Center, where he lived they thought him very fine.

The buttons on his uniform made all the hayseeds sigh.
And envy would consume their souls to hear him up and cry:

All aboard for Podunk, Montrose and Honaloo.
Second car for Ballyhunk, Shadville and Timbuctoo.

Last car stops at Mack'relville but first car goes right through.
All aboard for Podunk and Hoboken.

His name was Tommy Gallagher, you'd have to hear him call.
For no one else could show you how he'd give his mighty bawl.

The ladies they would almost faint, no man would dare complain.
And ev'ry day you'd hear him give the same old cry again:

All aboard for Podunk, Montrose and Honaloo.
Second car for Ballyhunk, Shadville and Timbuctoo.

Last car stops at Mack'relville but first car goes right through.
All aboard for Podunk and Hoboken.

If on the New York Central you should chance some day to ride.
When once at Mack'rel Center leave the car and go outside.

You'll see this mighty Tommy G. with buttons brass galore.
But don't get frightened when at last you hear the awful roar:
