I did not expect the politics.

He was running for election.
Yes, I knew that much.
He was running for election.
For governor or some such.

And I wondered how it would work.
He was running on a Christian platform.
I wondered how it worked
when he lied, oh, so much.

But he was against abortion,
and that was all he needed.
He was against abortion
because of the hardships

that it created.
The lives born unloved.
The hatred in families.
These are the reasons
he was against abortion.
He knew the evil that lacking it had.
He knew the forces at work.

And so his platform
was quite popular
for the evangelicals
even though he was clearly the devil.

He even had horns and such
and a cute little spiked tail.
And oh, oh-oh he was orange.
