I wanted to commute
to my job today.
But, I must take
this, this ferry
and the dolphins,
they wanted to play!

make me want to give up work.

make me just want to stay away!

I could hang out at the river
and play with these dolphins here.
They are really good dolphins.
I know they'll probably not drink my beer.

I wish all rivers had some dolphins
because they are so lovely and fun.
I wish all rivers, they had dolphins.
They're truly a delight for everyone.

They are the best, best part of any day's commute.
I don't care if they build a bridge,
I will still take the ferry
just so I can stand for a while
looking out at the water.
Watching the dolphins play, play, play
as I slowly drift away.

I must get back to my job and
eventually I'll travel home.
But these dolphins here, oh, yes,
they just seem to play all day!

And, I don't know how they do it!
They just play, play, play, play, play!
I don't know how they do it!
How can they not spend their day
in a job for low pay
just to buy some crappy food.
These dolphins they just play
and they never seem to work!
They seem to get their food so, so easily.
They just play and eat and have some fun,
sometimes quite happily!

I think I want to stay
away from my job today.
Just stick by the water's edge
and watch the dolphins,
the dolphins play.
