When I think of laughter,
I think about silly kittens.
When I think of laughter,
I think of silly goats.
Why are they so silly?
It makes me laugh. Ha-ha ha.
Why are they so silly?
I think they're telling jokes!
Sometimes when I laugh I think
my face gets this funny shape.
Sometimes when I laugh I think
my nose-- my nostrils, they just inflate.
Ha-ha ha-ha ha!
[Look at my nostrils flare!]
Sometimes when I laugh I think
my hair, it grows an inch.
I think it does happen and when I laugh it's gone
but, that does not make any sense!
Ha ha ha ha ha!
Sometimes when I laugh, I think of
lots of laughing billy goats.
Sometimes when I laugh, I think of
trolls being thrown over bridges. (What?)
Ha-ha ha-ha ha! (What?)
[You know, the Billy Goat Gruff and the trolls and the bridges?
I think after they threw goat over, they laughed about it.]
Sometimes when I laugh, I think of
fish swimming in little ponds.
But, I don't know why they'd be laughing
except that we're really funny to look upon.
Ha-ha ha-ha ha!
[Silly humans.]
Sometimes when I laugh, I think of
lots of silly kitty cats.
Sometimes when I laugh, I think of
monkeys dancing and going splat.
Ha-ha ha-ha ha! (What?)
[Splat, you know, because they're dancing and they
fall down. Makes you laugh, too.]
Sometimes when I laugh,
I think of a silly joke. Like,
why did the elephant eat that pancake,
did it know it would choke?
[What? That's not funny at all.
The elephant, I hope it feels better.
You shouldn't laugh when people get hurt.]
Sometimes when I laugh, I think of really funny jokes. Like,
why'd the chicken cross the road,
if chickens aren't that old?
(What? Hahaha!)
[Well, because the, you know, the eggs came before the chickens,
because first they were reptiles, right?]
(Yeah.)
[But it made you laugh, so--] Hahahaha ha!
[Oh...]
[I don't know that this song is that funny.]
